Our Story

The Social Agent was established by William Hegmann in 2016 after spending 15 years in the technology and sales industry; most of that time spent in a management position at Dell Computers. In 2017, William Hegmann and Patrick Connell partnered to expand The Social Agent brand and increase its customer base through alternative delivery formats and streamlining of systems.

At the beginning of 2020, small businesses around the world started experiencing one of the most challenging times they’ve seen in generations. As the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the world, businesses were struggling just to stay afloat, let alone make a profit, hold on to employees, and grow. Out of both necessity and a desire to help, The Social Agent expanded its services to include industries that we had not previously explored or had experience in. We were able to quickly adapt our services to these new industries, helping them grow their client base and keep their businesses going.

Initially we were able to focus on those industries marked as essential services including construction trades, childcare, health professionals, and financial institutions. As other services began to open, we included a variety of other businesses who needed help bringing in new customers, including other professional services like attorneys and accountants, personal care services, insurance, solar, and a diverse group of other sales-related businesses.

Finally, in 2021, The Social Agent brought all its various brands* under one umbrella, re-branding as The Social Agent Network. Streamlining our backend systems to increase efficiency has helped us better serve our clients through more robust follow-up and education, billing, added services, and increasing their throughput of leads to customers. As of March 31st, 2022, The Social Agent Network has served over 30,000 clients and is directly responsible for over $3 billion dollars** in client revenue.
